Submitting a self-tape audition to Denise's Talent Pool could lead to potential acting opportunities for you or your young voice actors. Please note that Denise is not an agent but on occasion will refer to this talent pool when casting opportunities present themselves. Be sure to let us know if there's something about you that makes you unique!

Joining the talent pool does not guarantee an audition or role.

We encourage aspiring voice actors of all ages, genders, races and abilities to join Denise's Talent Pool.

SCRIPTS & INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED BELOW

INSTRUCTIONS

Please follow the submission instructions carefully as auditions that do not follow the directions cannot be considered.

1. Select ONE script below that you identify with most.

2. Take some time to develop your performance before recording yourself. What may seem like instinct is usually what's obvious and how everyone else will perform it. You can decide how old the characters are or what they sound like. There's no need to feel like you have to create an impressive character voice - especially if it doesn't sound natural or sustainable.

3. Find a quiet space to record your self-tape. Make sure there is no background noise or echo. For example: a walk-in closet or bedroom with a lot of soft surfaces can work well. Avoid bathrooms and large empty rooms.

4. Using your cell phone's voice recording app (Ex. Voice Memo) record your performance on a single audio file in the following order:

SLATE (Say your full name, Age (kids only), agent (if applicable) and location) Example: "Hi, my name is Alex Brown. I'm 8 years old, my agent is Awesome Talent and I live in Toronto, Ontario"

PERFORM - right after your slate, you begin your performance. Perform YOUR lines ONLY. No other reader, no other lines.

If you choose to do a second take right after your first take, please make sure it's different. Example: if you do a character voice for your first take, make sure your second take is in your natural voice.

SONG Please end your audition with the chorus of an upbeat song you like to sing. Avoid ballads and please keep it short. Don't worry if you're not a great singer. Just have fun.

OPTIONAL: After your song, you can tell us a little bit about yourself, if you so choose. Please keep this under 1 minute.

HEADSHOT/PIC: Please include a recent photograph (does not need to be a professional headshot)

Parent/Guardian email address (If you have an agent, they will be the main contact and parents/guardians will not be contacted directly by Denise or her team.)
Agency name & contact information (if applicable)
Union status (ACTRA, ACTRA Apprentice or Non-union)
Your location (name of city, not your address)
Anything else you'd like casting to know (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion are of utmost importance - please feel free to share any information about you that you feel we should know.)
